Dave Hill, HDR photography

What better personality in the world of photography to begin my very-first-post-of-this-not-so-new-blog, than Dave Hill, considered by many the king of HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography. In this post I pay a little respect to his work, show you how to closely follow Dave and give you a hint of what HDR is.
Dave is a commercial photographer, which you can tell by the epic production of each photo of his, and he isn’t afraid to stop time and the world itself when the time comes to shoot. He uses mostly the HDR technique, as said above, to create a dreamy and somewhat fantasy look to every work, transforming each photography into what could be a wonderful conceptual painting.
Here are some of Dave’s works. You can view many more in his webfolio. He also runs a blog dedicated to “behind the scenes”, highly recommended if you feel like checking his work carefully.

I’ll be creating a detailed tutorial about HDR photography very soon, using only Photoshop or Photomatix. Stay tuned!
